Description
When the spotlight is on, but the sound is turned off, can you spot someone destined for fame? This is the question asked by this new entertainment format where the candidates can be seen, but not heard, as they sing under a soundproofed glass dome. Everybody is welcome on this stage, from all styles and ages, as long as they can put on a good show.
A jury of three “FameMakers” pay close attention to the performances. If they pull a lever to lift the dome, the performer joins their team. The performer can suddenly be heard and their talent – or lack of it – now becomes clear. Has the judge been proved right, did they get lucky or did they fail to spot real talent?
The jury – all comedians with singing credentials – must be clever in their choices as they will have to coach their protégés to perform one more song in the big final. Can they make the truly talented shine even brighter, and will they find ways to work around the vocal weaknesses of others? The viewers at home decide who has done the best job, and succeeded in spotting true talent as the ultimate FameMaker.
