Description

Female character-driven drama, Julia’s Tango centres on four young women who undertake the challenge of a lifetime when they embark on a huge renovation project. And as their friendships blossom, so the women gradually realise their inner strength and discover what they really want out of life.

When Julia, a successful lawyer living in Amsterdam, decides on a whim to visit her home town of Buenos Aires with her best friend Marjolein, little did she know what a profound effect it would have on her life and those close to her. For when she arrives, she instinctively knows she won’t be leaving anytime soon!

Julia’s aunt Maria and cousin Pia are on the verge of selling the family home, now barely recognisable from the place Julia remembers. Seeing an opportunity to help the family, Julia impulsively stops the sale, deciding instead to transform the house into a Bed & Breakfast. Sacrificing her career in Holland, Julia enlists the help of Marjolein, Pia and Jacqueline, an old friend, and the four women get to work. But the project soon proves more ambitious than the girls thought, and perhaps impossible without their mutual support and indomitable spirit.

It’s not all hard work though; the female friends make time to enjoy the bustling vibrancy of Buenos Aires. Dealing with themes of ambition, love and friendship, and underscored by the sultry, enchantment of the tango, Julia’s Tango is destined to move the audience in every way possible!
